'AJ Moments' aren't the only thing that are legendary

I know some things for sure, two of which are: A girl should never leave home without her Stormy Kromer hat, and AJ sure is something---I’ve suspected as much about AJ for quite some time--- yet to find that others think the same of him is more than a pleasant surprise. It is an honor.

Friends of the Kennel, with Melanie Montague in lead, once again coordinated their efforts and nominated AJ for the Stormy Kromer 2012 Living Legend award. What did it take to make the nomination: a well written essay, some pictures, links and some mundane things like signatures and deadlines.

Did we think much would come of it?---No. Yet, a phone call brought with it an even greater surprise. As AJ held the phone in one hand and a pup in the other, he was notified by Stormy Kromer that he had been chosen as one of the ten finalists in the contest.

Why do we care? Bragging rights are one thing, but more importantly because Alaska Children’s Trust---dedicated to the prevention of child abuse and neglect---a charity chosen by AJ could receive 3% of Net Online Sales made through the www.stormykromer.com web site from January 9, 2012 through January 31, 2012 if he wins.
