"Oh, yeah?”
“And, you didn’t win.” Many bandages are best removed quickly. AJ never tells me something will be alright when he knows it won’t, he never tries to delay certain disappoint. I've always appreciated that about him and so decided to return the favor. “Are you disappointed?”
“No, I’m sure the most deserving person won.” I wonder if he knew there was a bandage involved at all. “Besides I think that the nomination is based on an image of me that you’ve shared that is not accurate.” He smiles, the lines creasing at the corners of his eyes. I like seeing those lines.
“No, I try to tell people that you’re hideous looking and a horrible person, but no one believes me.”
